ABOUT THE CLASS
What makes a fragrance smell creamy, milky, caramelized, chocolatey, toasted, or simply delicious?
In this hands-on class, we will look beyond the finished scent and study how gourmand effects are actually constructed.
Participants will evaluate the individual materials used in each accord, examine their purpose within the formula, and observe how changing a material or its proportion can transform the overall result.
After the discussion and guided evaluation, you will weigh and blend the featured accords yourself.

• Introduction to formulating fragrance accords
• Understanding what makes the featured accords smell the way they do
• Analysis and olfactive evaluation of individual raw materials
• Presentation of the formulas and reference samples
• Discussion of possible variations and modifications
• Proper weighing and blending techniques

No professional perfumery experience is required. Beginners are welcome, although curiosity and a serious sweet tooth for scent will certainly help.

CLASS FORMAT
In-person, hands-on formulation class
Please note that this is not a conventional make-your-own-perfume workshop. The session focuses on understanding formulas, raw materials, proportions, and the construction of fragrance accords.
CLASS FEE
₱5,650 per participant
Limited slots are available to maintain a focused and properly guided lab experience.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the session.
• Avoid wearing perfume or strongly scented products on the day of the class.
• Participants must follow all laboratory safety instructions.
• Materials and equipment will be provided unless otherwise stated.
• Please inform us in advance of any known sensitivities or allergies.

All workshop bookings are non-refundable.
We get it—life happens! If you’re unable to attend your scheduled workshop, you may reschedule to another available date as long as you notify us at least 3 days (72 hours) before your original booking.

Please note:
🔁 Rebooking requests made less than 24 hours before the workshop will no longer be accommodated.
🏠 For Perfume Parties or Private Workshops, any late cancellations will forfeit the down payment. A new booking (and payment) will be required to reserve another date.
⏳️ No-shows or late arrivals (15 minutes or more) without prior notice will be considered forfeited and will not be eligible for rebooking.
Our Fragrance 101 and 2-Day Artisan Perfumery Workshop require a minimum of 4 participants for each scheduled class to proceed.
If a scheduled class does not reach the 4-participant minimum, The Scent Studio reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the class.
Whenever possible, participants will be notified at least 48 hours before the scheduled workshop.
If The Scent Studio cancels a workshop due to insufficient enrollment, participants may choose to:
- Transfer their booking to another available schedule; or
- Receive a full refund of the workshop fee.
For cancellations due to emergencies, instructor illness, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify participants as soon as reasonably possible.
